Ulrin Lightbringer

• Ulrin is a project I've been working on ever since his creation on the 25th of June, 2006. There's obviously much more to him than I can get written down on a site, or anywhere for that matter but you're always welcome for RP to get to know the character.

  I play Ulrin in a medieval themed dream called The Land of Rayneth, located in Imaginarium.
  
  Post size

  A delicate subject for a lot of players. I personally prefer smooth, small-to-semi-paragraph posts to avoid needless details that only slow down RP. That doesn't mean I won't RP with people with other standards, however, or make the needed huge epic post now and then. I'm also fine with paragraphing if the need ever arises.

  
  Consent

  Although I play in a consent dream and do feel that the consent rule is needed to keep everyone happy (not everyone enjoys years of work dying on them just like that.) that doesn't mean I promote it's use. I see it as a means to keep your character going when you feel it isn't his/her time to go yet and would like to keep on RPing with them in the current continuity, not as a way to weasel out of every tight spot. Remember, ICA -> ICC.

  
  Era

  Ulrin is made for and developed in a medieval setting and thus it'll be unlikely I RP on him with character of other eras. Slight anachronisms never hurt anyone, however and I'm always open for possible timetwisting plots!

  
  Language

  I know some people can be quite obsessive about this; I'm a non-native English writer myself and I make spelling and even grammar mistakes from time to time. I won't hold it against you if you do the same. And Heavens! Don't hold back the need correct me if you see a mistake that disturbs you, I'm always eager to learn. Please do refrain from netspeak and emoticons in posts, however, it breaks the feel of reality you try to weave to me.

  
  Etc.

  And here comes the usual rant about godmoders, twinks, autohitters and who knows what else people can come up with. Or not. I only roleplay with people that show at least some intelligence and common sense. If you're a starting RP'er learning the ropes and failing here and there, that's fine, I won't be an elitist and start calling names. We need to take care of our future generation of RP'ers after all.
